About Me

I grew up in Seattle and have spent most of my life here, though I moved away to Minnesota to attend Macalester College. Sports have always been a significant part of my life—I ran track and field in college and played various team sports throughout my childhood. While at Macalester, I majored in psychology, which deepened my love for working with people. I considered several career paths, including medicine, and being a REALTOR, but I realized I wanted a more physical and hands-on career. So now I am working as a carpenter and really loving learning. I know I have much to learn still so I will continue to update this site as I do, hopefully inspiring others to take on some projects for themselves as well. Outside of work some of my passions include creating art (painting, macrame, crochet, pottery, and more), gardening, and cooking/baking. So I will also share updates on all of those different interests, as well as recipes my wonderful partner creates as he goes through culinary school :)

Architecture has always intrigued me. As a kid, I loved creating dream homes in SketchUp and reimagining spaces. Now, I channel that creative energy into construction and hands-on projects. My goal is to be knowledgeable about various aspects of the construction process, enabling me to undertake both large and small projects. I want to post some fun DIYs but also provide service for larger jobs that homeowners might not be able to take on themselves.
